Tis the Season…..

Oh, ha ha!  You thought we were going to talk about Christmas, and encourage you to buy boots as gifts for friends and family!  Actually that isn’t a bad idea.  And you’ll be the talk of the town having all your shopping done before Halloween! WAIT, STOP THE PRESSES – just a second, hold on!   WOW!  Guess what I just got while writing this week’s blog?  MY Boots! Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!  Love me some boots from Boot Campaign!  I’m currently kicking off my flip flops under the desk and putting on the boots.  Please note: from now on blogs will be written wearing boots.

The thing about wearing boots in support of the world’s finest military is that everyone looks terrific in them!  See for yourself by checking out the fan photo album at bootcampaign.com.   From musicians to sports heroes, brides, babies and even pets, these boots emit courage and pride to those who put them on while strongly communicating a big ol’ fat THANK YOU to our men and women in the Armed Forces.

Speaking of musicians, did you know some of our favorite Country Music BOOT fans recorded a compilation CD entitled “When They Come Back, We Give Back” which also benefits the Lone Survivor Foundation?   Also check out this month’s issue of Best in Texas featuring none other than the fashion-forward BOOT Girls!  If you’d prefer to buy a Ford this weekend, check out the news story on our first corporate sponsor, Tyler Ford, in Tyler, TX.  All their employees have their boots on ready to serve you!  So what are you waiting for?  Join the crowd!

People always say “don’t follow the popular crowd” but in this case, riding the wave of fashionable popularity in wearing boots is beyond popular, it’s noble!   Sometimes the noble thing to do in life is not to speak but act.    As Boot Girl Heather aptly said about wearing her boots “it helps me say thank you without ever saying a word”.

About BootCampaign

The Boot Campaign is a grassroots initiative started by five women from Texas known as the Boot Girls. The Boot Campaign is a new way Americans can show their support for our active duty service members and veterans. This grassroots campaign has captured the attention of American celebrities and civilians – from professional athletes, politicians, country music stars and more – and is quickly gaining momentum. Money raised will support troops and veterans through the work of the Lone Survivor Foundation and other charities.
